Anonymous asked: So, I would like to work at a fashion magazine as an editor but I don't really like journalism (only fashion journalism), also I heard that the only way to work there is to have a lot of contacts in the fashion industry and I don't have. Also I would like to be stylist or personal shopper but the courses and masters are so expensive like +9,000K euros, what should I do? Idk like maths btw

I cant really tell you what to do with the money side of this, but an idea would be to get a job (or part time) if possible and save up if you want to do an expensive course. And about having contacts I think you can do so much by working really hard. Starting right at the bottom at the smallest job and working your way up. I know some people that started off as a weekend job or an assistant or someone to get coffee and takes calls and are now working their way up the ladder and will defiantly have a really successful career. Its all up to you and how much you want to work and how far you will go.

Some people have it easy but the people who work hard gain the experience of hard work and appreciate their position more than the people who get it easy.

Anonymous asked: I love all that thing about model, of course i cant be a model bc im really short, 1,50 m hahaha but i would love to do something that has something to do with it. Any interesting jobs?

There are so many so obviously I’m not going to name them all but:

  • Fashion Marketing (involved in the marketing/shop side)
  • Makeup Styling (for shoots, runway etc.)
  • Hair Styling (for runway, shoots)
  • Involvement in making clothes (for shops)
  • Writer (fashion articles, books etc.)
  • Retail of the fashion.
  • Photographer
  • Designer
  • Working for an agency
  • Working for a runway company.(Or a company that does runway shows)

There’s just a few there if you are looking for something more closely linked to actual modelling just let me know.

Also remember that in most of these careers you start from the bottom and work really hard and it will most likely pay off

good luck

Anonymous asked: I'm 5'3 and want to be a model... Is this too short?

This depends entirely on your look and if you are what a specific agency is looking for:)

Anonymous asked: I'm just about to turn 14 this month, I'm nowhere near 5"8 (I'm about 5"3), and I'm a UK Size 8. I want to be a high fashion or editorial model, but I don't know if I've got what it takes. I don't have a stereotypically beautiful face, but my face is unique and individual. Any tips? This is my dream ^.^

The thing with modelling is there are so many types of modelling and people instantly think of high fashion or editorial but there are so many different types! I could never judge you because I don’t work in model scouting but I could only give you my opinion based on my knowledge but I have no idea what you look like or your body type. If you are only 13 you should keep your doors open to anything don’t focus 100% on modelling because at the age of 13 you can change your mind to do exactly what you want (that’s a good thing because your not tied down to one thing). As well as modelling there are also careers linked really closely like designing, media, photographer etc so even if you don’t make it as a model you could become something involved with modelling.

good luck

Anonymous asked: you should post more!

I am quite busy with exams lately but since I’ve come back I have not been getting as many confessions so I try and balance how many I post when I post

I cant post unless I have confessions to post!

confess/ask/tell

My ask box is open! Before I stopped doing confessions for a while I used to get loads of confessions every day but I don’t get as many now, just to let you all know you can ask/confess/tell any time you like and it will just be posted when I’m next online.

thankyou

xx

Anonymous asked: This is not about modeling but I'm a model and 5'9 81-60-86 and a lot of people from the industry compliment me ... and kids in school think I'm ugly and I don't have prom date?!

You don’t need a prom date! Its up to you about the modelling whether you want to pursue it or not but don’t let the fact you don’t have a date stop you from having a good time x
